Started in the year 1984 as "Institute of Ankush Polytechnic", with 3 Diploma Courses in Engineering & Technology. It progressed by leaps and bounds to its present status of the best polytechnic of the Maharashtra State, imparting instruction and training in 5 disciplines. The institute was renamed as "G.H Raisoni Polytechnic, Nagpur" in the year 1999 and since then the institute has made rapid strides by Mrs. S.P. Hingway M.Tech. (Electronics) with 25 years experience in industry adminstration & teaching. The institute, with the most modern setup, is now Maharashtra's as well as India's only Polytechnic having a CYBER LAB providing unlimited Internet Surfing Facilities. Working on 2mbps leased line connections and 3 internet servers with 500 PCs activated.It serves to 200 students at a time.
